2002 Spring Camporee

Troops 53 and 36 were hosts to the 2002 Spring Camporee at Camp Tri-Mount in East Jewett, NY. The camporee was an exciting blend of fun competitions and worthwhile service projects.

Several hours were spent doing trailblazing, trail improvements, and other soil and water conservation projects. As a result of our efforts the entire Southeastern quarter of the camp's hiking trails are in great shape!

Troop 53 won the Dinner Competition with it's "Southwestern Pot Pie" recipe (Chili with Cornbread/cheese topping). The judge was most impressed with our margheritas!

Man, those rocks are heavy. I need a break. Break? The only break you gonna git is your legs, when I hit you with this shovel! Camp Tri-Mount sells Christmas Trees by the Subway in Catskill, the Kingston Traffic Circle, and at Burlington Coat Factory in the Town of Ulster.
